A Boy, hunting for Locusts, had the fortune to find a Grasshopper, who, when she was about to be killed, pleaded thus for her life: “Alas! I never did anybody an injury, and never had it either in my will or my power to do so. Ass my business is my song; and what will you be the better for my death?” The Boy’s heart relented , and he set the simple Grasshopper at liberty.
