The Eagle and The Daw

A Daw saw an eagle carry off a sheep and tried the same trick. The daw could not do it and got caught. Ouch. Don’t take on more than you can accomplish.

The Wolf in Disguise

A Wolf, known to the flock of Sheep decided to disguise himself as the Shepherd. It was working until the Wolf decided to talk. Noise led the dogs to him. A poorly executed plan can lead to failure.

The Shepherd and The Young Wolf

A Shepherd raised a young Wolf with his Dogs. It seemed well trained but held behind and ate off the flock until found out. Shepherd hung the Wolf. Crimes are eventually found out and prosecuted.

The Sheep-Biter

A Shepherd trusted his dog with the sheep. The dog was caught biting and killing sheep and at sentencing for the crime begged for his life. Dog gone. All criminals must be punished for crimes.

The Panther and The Shepherds

A Panther fell into a well. Some fed him and some pelted him. Overnight he recovered strength and leaped out of the well. He killed those who abused him. Enemies are made by injury not kindness.

The Lion and The Shepherd

A Shepherd encountered an ailing Lion and took a thorn out of its paw. At a later encounter the Lion remembered the Shepherd and did not kill him. Return favors and favors will be bestowed on you.

A Wolf and A Fox

A Fox knew a Wolf was holed up and told a Shepherd where the den was. Shepherd killed Wolf and Fox moved into den. Shepherd came back. Bye, bye Fox. Take pleasure when thieves destroy themselves.

The Shepherd and The Sheep

A Shepherd put his cloak on the ground and shook acorns on it for his sheep. The sheep ate the acorns and tore the cloak. Shepherd was not happy. An appetite blinds men to their surrounds.

The Bitch and Her Whelps

A Bitch begged for space to have and rear her whelps. A Shepard granted her wish but when raised, the Bitch and her whelps decided to keep the space. Those to whom you give kindness may turn on you.

The Wolf and The Shepherd

A Wolf stayed with a flock of sheep until the Shepherd started to ignore him. With that opportunity the Wolf struck and had his meal. Don’t trust your enemy to guard your valuables.
